Ontario’s pork sector represents a significant part of the Canadian economy, combining - from “farm to fork” - $1.4 billion in GDP, over 16,934 full-time jobs and $3.8 billion in economic output.

We are searching for a relationship focused and service-oriented Member Services Liaison to support Ontario pork producers and strengthen their connection with Ontario Pork. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys working with people, builds trust easily and brings sound judgment and a practical approach to solving problems. You will work directly with producers, transporters and industry partners, providing education, program support and practical assistance while navigating a variety of questions, concerns and sometimes challenging conversations.

As a key point of contact for producers, you will build and maintain strong relationships across the sector, support participation in programs such as Canadian Pork Excellence (CPE) and PigTrace, and help producers navigate industry requirements, resources and technology. You will work collaboratively with Ontario Pork staff and industry stakeholders to respond to producer needs and ensure they have access to timely information, tools and support.

Key Responsibilities:

- Act as a liaison between producers and Ontario Pork, establishing effective and cooperative relationships with the producer community and providing timely information, assistance, and follow up.
- Support the implementation and delivery of industry programs, including Canadian Pork Excellence (CPE), PigTrace, and other Ontario Pork initiatives,



providing education and practical assistance to producers and industry partners.
- Assist producers, transporters and industry partners with relevant technologies and systems, including electronic manifests, OPUS, PigTrace and other related platforms, providing practical guidance, troubleshooting and training as required.
- Provide support and resources to producers and transporters related to industry programs, animal welfare, human resources, education, outreach, and other emerging needs.
- Attend producer meetings, industry events, and other stakeholder meetings, providing information, presentations, and follow up on Ontario Pork programs, Board related matters, and industry issues and opportunities.
- Maintain accurate producer, transporter and industry records, including keeping relevant databases, program records and documentation up to date.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with producers, processors, transporters, government agencies, industry organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with Ontario Pork staff and provide support across the organization as required.

Education and Experience

- Post secondary education in agriculture, animal science, business, communications or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Experience in agriculture, producer or member services, industry programs, customer relations or a related environment. We welcome candidates with a range of experience, including recent graduates with relevant co op and agriculture experience.
- Knowledge of Ontario’s agriculture sector, including production and industry issues, is required.



Knowledge of the swine industry is considered a strong asset.
- Experience working directly with agricultural producers, industry stakeholders or member-based organizations is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and work effectively with industry specific databases, technology and electronic communication systems.

Working Conditions

- Office environment with regular interaction with producers and industry stakeholders.
- Travel to producer meetings, farms, industry facilities and events throughout Ontario is occasionally required.
