High School Math Teacher / Tutor Wanted

Oxford Learning Oakville North is growing, and we’re looking for enthusiastic High School Math Teacher‑Tutors to join our award‑winning team. Position Requirements

All Teacher‑Tutors work during after‑school and evening hours (3:00 pm – 8:00 pm) and some Saturdays (9:00 am – 1:00 pm). A commitment until the end of the school year is preferred, with summer and the coming school year even better. Reliability and in‑person availability are a must. This role is in‑person; you must be able to commute to the Oakville location (no relocation package). Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory. Applicants must reside in or within a short commute of the Oakville area.

Education

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field
- Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
- Teaching certification is an asset




- Positive knowledge of the current Grades 9‑12 math curriculum, particularly senior math including advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry, calculus and vectors

Experience

- Some experience teaching/tutoring math at a Grade 9 to 12 (or equivalent) level
- Strong English written and oral communication skills
- Strong math skills and ability to guide students’ understanding
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time

Responsibilities

- Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels, online and in‑person
- Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
- Filling in post‑lesson notes
- Completing daily student communication updates
- Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times

$19 – $24 per hour

Schedule

- Evenings
- Monday – Friday
