$82–$100/hour, depending on experience

Raise is currently hiring a
Senior Application Support / Systems Engineer
on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Note:
The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description The
Senior Application Support / Systems Engineer
will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining application health, configuring observability and alerting solutions, triaging production incidents, troubleshooting performance and latency issues, and supporting Kubernetes-based environments.
The successful candidate will bring strong experience in application support, distributed systems, monitoring and observability, CI/CD processes, incident management, and production troubleshooting, with hands‑on experience supporting cloud-based and Kubernetes environments.

Qualifications
Strong experience in
application support / systems engineering
within production environments.
Hands‑on experience with
GCP
and
Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) .
Solid experience with
observability and monitoring tools , such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, or similar platforms.
Experience configuring monitoring,
alerting, dashboards, and distributed tracing solutions.
Strong experience supporting
Kubernetes-based environments .
Experience with
Jenkins and CI/CD processes .
Proven experience supporting
production deployments
and troubleshooting production issues.
Strong understanding of
distributed systems and microservices architectures .
Experience with production incident management, root‑cause analysis, and troubleshooting performance and latency issues.
Experience supporting
cloud‑based applications .
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience supporting
large‑scale retail or eCommerce platforms .
Familiarity with
Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus , or similar monitoring and observability tools.
Strong experience with
GCP
cloud services.
Experience with
GKE / Kubernetes
in production environments.
Experience with microservices architectures and distributed systems.
Education and Certifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
