ResponsibilitiesPrepare or review modification packages for operating nuclear power plantsPrepare or review functional mechanical drawings and/or drawings for nuclear power plant systemsPrepare or review engineering analyses and evaluations to support modifications and operation of plant systemsPrepare or review technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipmentPrepare or review vendor bid evaluations for plant equipmentPrepare or review studies and options evaluations for modifications to operating nuclear power plantsAdditional OpportunitiesDevelop engineering cost estimates for small to mid-sized client-requested work scopesVisit client office and/or plant site locations to interface with the client and make presentations related to engineering tasks and statusLead engineering project teamsThis position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week, giving you the flexibility to work remotely for two days.Export Control & EligibilityThis position may require access to U.S. export‑controlled information. As such, candidates must be a citizen of a country listed in Appendix A to Part 810 of the Code of Federal Regulations. Candidates must determine their eligibility accordingly.We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in Canada for this position.QualificationsBSME with emphasis in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering from a Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board‑accredited undergraduate program or a US based ABET‑accredited programA minimum of 5 years of experience in the power industryWorking knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations that apply to mechanical engineering design of power plantsValued, but Not RequiredP.Eng licenseActive Ontario Power Generation (OPG) security clearanceAI & Automation at Sargent & LundyLead others in taking engineering problems from issue to solution by setting expectations for using data and modern tools such as automation and AI to improve workflows, reduce rework,
