The Municipality of East Hants is looking for an accomplished leader in recreation or community development. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, you will manage a diverse team focused on delivering top-tier recreation services and tourism projects. This role entails strategic planning, community collaboration, and effective program management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct the team responsible for recreation programs
• Oversee operations at the Sportsplex and Aquatic Centre
• Implement the East Hants Tourism Strategy




• Collaborate with groups to enhance community offerings
• Support volunteer recruitment and training efforts
Requirements:
• Five years of leadership experience required
• Three years of team management in relevant fields
• Proven experience in strategic planning and budgeting
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
• Competence in technology, especially MS Office
Lead creative community programs and support East Hants’ growth as its Recreation Director.
