Position Title: Subcontract AdministratorLocation: Scarborough, ON, CanadaOperating Sector: OperationsAbout the ProjectScarborough Transit Connect (STC) is a joint venture between Aecon and FCC Canada Ltd. that was selected by Metrolinx to deliver the Scarborough Subway Extension – Stations, Rail and Systems (SSE‑SRS) package. The extension will bring TTC’s Line 2 subway service nearly eight kilometers farther into Scarborough, extending from Kennedy Station to Sheppard Avenue and McCowan Road. It will replace Line 3 (the Scarborough RT), helping to reduce travel times and improve access to jobs, schools, and key destinations throughout the city.ResponsibilitiesAdminister assigned subcontracts, maintaining a continual review of progress and providing management with information regarding projected financial or difficulty issues.Work with subcontractors to determine subcontract rates and resource lists.Ensure subcontractors operate on a transparency principle related to all rates and change requests.Coordinate with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations, subcontract performance, subcontract administration, and other major matters.Administer information programs to ensure mutual understanding of subcontract terms and conditions.Ensure compliance of subcontractors with subcontract requirements.Verify and negotiate Change Request Forms and change issues with subcontractors.Identify and implement record-keeping for potential change orders.Keep records of change management/issue logs and provide summary reports.Handle variation/rate changes and delay issues.Ensure timely and accurate contractual correspondence and notices.Conduct subcontractor performance evaluation per established procedure and maintain the record.Maintain excellent relationships with client, stakeholders, and subcontractors.Arrange subcontractor kickoff and review meetings,
and maintain meeting minutes.Review and validate commercial subcontract invoices and progress bills, communicating issues with subcontractors.Coordinate and manage the closeout process to ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled.Perform other duties as assigned by Commercial Management.QualificationsCivil Engineering, Construction, Legal, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent combination of post‑secondary education and relevant technical training and experience.3+ years of experience in contract administration and coordination; large‑scale infrastructure or rail transit project experience is a robust asset.Strong experience with cost reimbursable subcontracts and time and material subcontracts.Experience preparing and issuing subcontracting documentation.Strong awareness of construction law and the Construction Act.Strong business acumen.Effective communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products.Ability to conduct business ethically and act with discretion when handling sensitive information.Ability to work under pressure and multitask.Team player with exceptional interpersonal skills.Strong attention to detail.BenefitsCompetitive salary: $85,000 – $100,000 annually, with a range that considers experience, education, and training.Comprehensive health and dental benefits and RRSP matching plans.Opportunity to work on one of the most exciting rail projects in Toronto.A wide array of learning and development opportunities.Work environment focused on health and safety.Equal OpportunitySTC is an Equal Chance Employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment based on citizenship, race, place of origin, ethnic origin, colour, ancestry, disability, age, creed, sex/pregnancy, family status, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or record of offences.#J-18808-Ljbffr
