Our client, a global insurance organization, is seeking a seasoned finance leader to partner with senior executives and shape high‑impact, forward‑looking financial insight across the enterprise. In this role you’ll lead strategic planning, evaluate transactions and capital deployment, and convert complex economics into clear, decision‑ready narratives for executive and board audiences. This position blends deep financial modeling with strong storytelling and cross‑functional influence.This is a hybrid role with roughly one day per week in our downtown Toronto office.What you’ll ownStrategic forecasting & enterprise planning: Build and maintain driver‑based forward forecasts and scenario models that inform capital allocation, strategy, and long‑term value creation. Translate plan inputs into clear performance views, sensitivities, and risk implications.Quarterly reporting & executive materials: Own quarterly management reporting and executive narratives, delivering concise, decision‑oriented slide decks with strong visualization and a clear link to enterprise priorities and investor messaging.Deal and transaction economics: Lead financial evaluation of recent business opportunities, reinsurance/sidecar structures, and other capital deployments. Produce robust deal models with returns, sensitivity testing, and downside analysis.Executive storytelling: Simplify and communicate complex financial and actuarial concepts into persuasive, executive‑ready recommendations that enable confident decision‑making at the C‑suite and board level.Analytics & automation: Improve FP&A; efficiency and insight by leveraging automation, data visualization, and advanced analytics to scale timely,



high‑quality outputs.Cross‑functional leadership: Work closely with actuarial, treasury, business leaders and other stakeholders to align assumptions, drive consensus, and elevate the rigor of financial discussions.Who you areEducation: Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or related field. Advanced degree or credentials a plus.Experience: 12+ years in FP&A;/corporate/strategic finance or financial modeling; minimum 3 years managing people in a complex organization.Skills: Expert in building financial models, scenario analysis, and translating results into executive presentations. Strong communicator with proven ability to synthesize data into actionable strategy.Domain: Experience in insurance/reinsurance, financial services, or other capital‑intensive sectors and familiarity with structured transactions or sidecars is highly desirable.Actuarial credentials (ASA/FSA) or actuarial experience preferred but not required.Tools: Advanced PowerPoint and data visualization skills; comfortable working across finance and actuarial systems.Core strengthsStrategic mindset and commercial judgmentExecutive‑level storytelling and influenceAdvanced analytical/problem‑solving capabilityAbility to toggle between detailed modeling and big‑picture implicationsCollaborative leader who builds alignment across disciplinesWhy this mattersYou’ll be a trusted advisor to senior leaders, shaping major allocation and transaction decisions that drive long‑term enterprise value.
