Transform lives as a Child & Youth Worker at Nisa Homes in Windsor. In this part-time role, you will provide crucial support and guidance to children and youth living in a transitional shelter.
As part of the team, you’ll create a protected and trauma-informed space while engaging children in activities that foster emotional and communication skills. Your work will directly support mothers working towards self-sufficiency and long-term independence through mentorship and structured activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and ensure the safety of all children and youth
• Foster a supportive and consistent environment
• Lead engaging skill-building and recreational activities
• Complete accurate daily documentation and incident reports
• Work cohesively with multidisciplinary teams
Requirements:
• Relevant degree in Child and Youth Work or related field
• 2-3 years’ experience in similar settings
• Strong commitment to ethical practices
• Knowledge of issues related to homelessness and at-risk populations
• Additional language proficiency is an asset
