Join our team as a Yard Manager, keeping our operations running smoothly through hands-on work, product handling, equipment maintenance, and product delivery.

Start Date

This is a full time position with an immediate start date.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Location Operations

- Assist with the maintenance of dry fertilizer and anhydrous ammonia equipment
- Assist with the maintenance of augers, including regular greasing and oil changes as needed
- Assist in coordinating and executing product movement
- Assist with loading and unloading product for customers and suppliers
- Assist operations staff with various tasks, especially during busy season and when customers need to be served
- Maintain rental equipment kept at the location
- Be prepared to fill in where needed to support operations

Yard Maintenance

- Maintain a clean, well-maintained yard throughout the summer.
- Ensure driveways are level and free of ruts year-round.
- Explicit snow from driveways and walkways during the winter.

Transportation and Delivery

- Transport chemical products to Horizon locations and customers
- Ensure all checklists are followed and completed
- Ensure vehicles are maintained according to schedule




- Ensure equipment is maintained and ready for use on a daily basis
- Maintain a log of problems and/or issues that require attention
- Be familiar with and follow all safety procedures and protocols

If the applicant has their 1A or is able to obtain it:

- Transport dry fertilizer by semi or Super B to Horizon locations and customers
- Transport and deliver anhydrous ammonia to customers in the field
- Ensure the truck is serviced and maintained with assistance from shop technicians as required

Qualifications:

A valid class 5 driver’s license that is in good standing is required. It is an asset, but not required for applicants to have their 1A license.

Location:

Our office is situated just south of Cudworth, Saskatchewan, along HWY 2. Applicants are not obligated to live in Cudworth, but they should be within a reasonable driving distance, as the position is based at the Cudworth location and involves working in the surrounding area.
