Shift Supervisor – Atikokan Sawmill (full‑time permanent) located in Atikokan, Ontario, Canada. The position reports directly to the Sawmill / Planer Superintendent and is responsible for shift supervision, coordination of maintenance activities, and ensuring secure, efficient lumber finishing production.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure application of highest safety standards for sawmill and yard operations.Oversee the production sector by maximizing use of materials, personnel and equipment to meet or exceed production goals, quality and financial performance (monitoring and cost reduction).Supervise, direct and guide employees to help them achieve maximum effectiveness; identify and meet theirtraining needs in job, health and safety, and environmental areas.Work with maintenance supervisors (mechanical and electrical)



to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of maintenance activities.Ensure product quality meets customer requirements by performing inspections and collaborating with Quality Control and Technical Services to develop programs.Identify and recommend changes to improve production procedures, equipment performance, working conditions and product quality to increase sector efficiency.Ensure all employees comply with company rules, policies, programs and procedures, and all applicable health and safety laws and ISO‑14001 processes.Perform all administrative tasks: production, maintenance, timesheet, health and safety, performance, training and personnel
