This role is ideal for a technician who is comfortable working independently on installations, understands best practices in electronic security systems, and can support junior technicians onsite when required.While this is not a senior leadership position,
the successful candidate will be trusted to manage assigned tasks with minimal supervision, troubleshoot technical challenges, and contribute to overall project quality, timelines, and safety.Key ResponsibilitiesFollow Kendrix Technology's standards, rules, and policies.Installation of:CCTV systemCard access systemsIntrusion systemsULC Intrusion and ULC Fire Monitoring systemsAnalogue and VOIP intercom systemsEMT/PVC/Wiremold conduitAutomatic gatesMagnetic LocksElectric StrikesStructured cablingIntegration of:Intrusion systems with Card Access SystemsCCTV with Card Access SystemsSoftware installation and upgradesWorking off ladders, scissor lifts, boom trucksAttend and participate in site meetingsCoordinate with other trades on job sitesNetworking/ComputersSetting up Dynamic DNS, LAN, WAN, DHCP, TCP/IP NetworksConfiguring network router which would include firewall rules and port forwardingDesign and program network devicesInstall server/client softwareUpdate security patches on specific platformsProject close out DocumentationFill out test/commissioning reportsFill out deficiency reportFill out work ordersInstall server/client software and setup switchesTrain client/end user on the specific platform that was installedCommunicate with client and provide support on product as requireFluently provide documentation required by Management teamFollow strict health and safety measuresAd Hoc ResponsibilitiesLeadership/mentoring and support to other technical field staffKnowledge, Skills,
