This role coordinates food production, menu planning, and inventory management and oversees the CBORD food service software system, including the Dial for Dining program, to ensure accurate menu configuration, therapeutic diet compliance, allergen management, and a positive patient and family experience. The position requires the ability to work independently, demonstrate strong initiative, and proactively identify and implement opportunities for quality improvement, while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, supporting staff education, and mentoring dietetic interns.Hours of WorkPrimarily Monday to Friday, variable shifts,



and flexible hours required.Your QualificationsBachelor’s degree with major credits in nutrition or dietetics requiredGraduate of a Dietitians of Canada-accredited Dietetic Internship Program requiredLicensed member of the Nova Scotia Regulator of Dietetics required (or eligible for licensure)Eligible for membership with Dietitians of Canada (DC)Advanced food safety training requiredTwo (2) years of experience as an administrative dietitian preferredCertification as a Journeyperson Cook is an assetWHMIS training required (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire)Knowledge of Oracle Cerner and CBORD preferredWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer programs/technologyKnowledge of therapeutic diets and menu planningAbility to work as part of a team-oriented, interdisciplinary team in a variety of settings, as well as the ability to work independentlyDemonstrates excellent initiative and organization skillsExcellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication (verbal & written) skillsExcellent time management and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated understanding and commitment to People Centered Care is an assetAbility to prioritize multiple responsibilities effectively and coordinate unexpected circumstances within the Food Service departmentCompetencies in other languages are an assetThis is a Healthcare bargaining unit position.
