Description The Application Support Specialist is responsible for operational support and service management within the Shared Utility Service (SUS) environment, which hosts approximately 200 government applications. The role ensures optimal performance, availability, and security of the IT infrastructure. Key responsibilities include system monitoring, incident management, queue management, change coordination, and continuous improvement of the SUS setting using advanced middleware technologies. Experience Level Entry Level Skillset Experience with middleware application suite such as but not limited to IBM WebSphere Application Server NDM and Liberty Experience with IBM DataPower Experience with Deployment Automation – Urban Code Deploy and Urban Code Velocity Experience with middleware monitoring tools e.G. ITCAM, Dynatrace Experience with cloud technology including OpenShift, Kubernetes and Ansible Experience with ITIL Incident Management process Experience with ITIL Change Management process Experience with Remedy/eSMT or other service management tools Experience with reporting tools and data visualization e.G.
