Title : Instructional DesignerReports To : Training Program Manager, OperationsPosition SummaryThe Instructional Designer is responsible for assessing, designing, developing and evaluating comprehensive learning solutions that align with organizational goals. They bring together tools, platforms, and content into a form that is easy to use, scalable, and delivers excellent user experience within our learning infrastructure.ResponsibilitiesStrategy & PlanningCollaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and internal stakeholders to understand learning scope, vision, and content needsClearly identify training program targets, user groups, learner characteristics, and skill gapsDesign curriculum and learning paths for various subjects and skills while integrating organizational goals and vision into learning solutionsConduct regular assessments, surveys, focus groups, and other feedback methods to consistently understand employee learning needsBuild business cases for solution designs and implementationLearning Design, Development & DeliveryDesign and develop learning solutions (digital and blended) and training content, in solid collaboration with the Training Program Manager and stakeholdersDesign instructional prototypes, conduct testing, analyze results, and recommend improvementsDevelop and recommend learning assessment tools and metrics to measure adoption, progress, and post‑training impactGather and analyze feedback from training sessions to identify gaps and implement updatesProvide coaching and training to staff on the delivery of learning solutionsFacilitate training sessions as requiredAnalyze existing learning programs and resources and identify areas for improvementProvide backup support for Training Facilitators and Training Leads as requiredLearning Management System (LMS) Support & AdministrationAct as an administrator for the Learning Management System (LMS) including identifying, recommending,



and implementing enhancements to the Training & Development teamCreate and manage the digital learning plan to maximize outputs in learning platformsLiaise with vendors and manage relationships with third‑party providers supporting learning initiativesPrepare and distribute LMS training updates, outcomes reports, and trend analysesMaintain up‑to‑date training materials, handbooks, and user guidesKeep current with educational technology trends and best practicesAct as business unit leader for company ERP implementation, including testing, course creation, and collaboration with the implementation teamResponsible for ongoing LMS maintenance and supportProject Management & Client RelationshipsEffectively manage training projects, timelines, and prioritization based on standards of workParticipate in departmental or corporate projects where appropriateAdministrative/OtherMaintain training materials, handbooks, and user guidesConduct research into learning and development issues, trends, and productsSupport general administrative tasks related to training operationsQualifications3 years experience using Learning Management Systems3-5 years professional experience developing learning content across multiple platforms (including mobile); experience with gamification and micro‑learning is an assetPost‑secondary degree in Human Resources, Instructional Design, Education, or related fieldCertification in Instructional DesignCertification in Adult Learning PrinciplesCertified Training and Development professional or equivalent is an assetProficient planner, problem solverExperience successfully deploying and sustaining learning projects and programs into productionProficiency in authoring e‑Learning software such as Articulate Rise or Storyline or related authoring toolsHigh level proficiency in using MS Office suite & web‑based conference services such as Teams, and similar technologiesStrong group facilitation and presentation skills at all levelsVideo editing skillsBilingual (French/English) written and verbal is an assetWhat’s in it for you?Competitive Base Salary between $65,000 - $75,000Paid VacationFlexible Health, Dental & Vision BenefitsEmployee Savings PlanEmployee & Family Assistance PlanLearning & Professional Development#J-18808-Ljbffr
