Become a vital part of the Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion as a Temporary School Aged Child Educator. Facilitate fulfilling activities while nurturing children’s growth during out-of-school care hours.
This part-time temporary position involves planning and implementing various activities aimed at the intellectual and emotional development of children aged 5-12. You will work within a team, ensuring all children, especially those requiring additional support, can thrive in an inclusive setting. The role demands a hands-on approach and open communication with families and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design stimulating activities promoting children's development
• Support children's emotional and physical well-being
• Work collaboratively with fellow educators for best practices
• Adhere to Quality Assurance measures for child services
• Facilitate care on professional development days and holidays
Requirements:
• Early Childhood Education Certificate and others preferred
• First Aid, CPR, and TB test clearance required
• Experience with children in diverse, inclusive settings
• Strong commitment to fostering an inclusive setting
• Proficient communication skills with families
