This role is ideal for a licensed tradesperson who can confidently troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, prioritize repairs, and maintain clear communication with operations to minimize downtime. If you take ownership of your work and value safety, efficiency, and quality repairs, this opportunity may be the right fit.Your Day-to-DayPerform electrical, hydraulic and mechanical maintenanceAnticipate and troubleshoot breakdowns, list parts required and process ordersPerform vehicle road testsDocument all repairs on work orders or computer system. Fill out appropriate inspection sheets when required.Daily inspection of all parts to ensure they are appropriately markedCommunicate with operations and supervisory staff on availability of equipmentPrioritize tasks to ensure work is completed efficientlyPrepare daily service reports and other required documentsPhysical work including lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, crouching, climbing, crawling and reaching repeatedly throughout the workdayMaintain a clean and tidy work workplace and equipmentTravel to various job sites across Northern Ontario, including out-of-town assignments with overnight stays as requiredWork evenings and weekends as needed to meet project demandsWork in accordance with all internal, client and regulated health and safety policies, procedures and/or regulations, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Perform other related duties as assignedYou Are a Good Fit If You HaveRequiredMinimum three (3)



years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment and/or heavy commercial vehiclesOne of the following Qualifications:Valid Truck and Coach Technician (310T) certificationHeavy-Duty Equipment Technician (421a) certification with the ability and willingness to obtain Truck and Coach Technician (310T) CertificationRegistered Level 3 Truck and Coach Technician Apprentice (310T) or higherValid G class Driver’s LicenseStrong commitment to safety and teamworkConsidered An AssetHeavy Equipment Red Seal CertificationDZ Drivers’ LicenseSkills & AbilitiesKnowledge and ability to repair and service a variety of heavy equipmentKnowledge of vehicle reports and CVOR.Ability to handle multiple on the go tasks and appropriately prioritize based on operational needsAbility to work efficiently with minimal supervision.Strong communication skills with supervisors, coworkers, and clientsAbility to adapt to changing job requirements and schedulesAbility to work independently and meet deadlinesProfessional attitude and strong work ethicWhat We OfferCompensation & BenefitsPay: $29.06 – $38.56 / hourExtended health, dental, and life insuranceCompany Pension PlanEmployee & Family Assistance ProgramCompany eventsOngoing training and career developmentThis position is governed by a collective agreement.
