The Hamilton-Oshawa Port Authority is looking for General Labourers for the Recreational Marina's Haul-Out Crew starting September 2026. Work Monday to Friday, potentially earning overtime.
This seasonal position involves engaging in strenuous tasks such as hauling boats, blocking them, and maintaining equipment at the Harbour West Marina. You will need to be physically fit and ready for outdoor work in changing weather conditions. Experience with Travel Lifts or heavy machinery will enhance your candidacy for this impactful role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in hauling out recreational boats with the crew
• Block boats using heavy lifting techniques
• Conduct pressure washing and maintenance on boats
• Efficiently and safely operate marina machinery
• Undertake other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
• A valid driver’s license is required
• Previous experience with forklifts or heavy equipment an asset
• Understanding of recreational boats preferred
• A safety-focused work ethic is essential
• Ability to lift weights up to 22.5 kg (50 lbs)
