Progress Assistant – Casual Core FunctionUnder the direction of the Program Manager/Program Coordinator, plans or participates in the planning of appropriate activities and provides high quality services to clients of the Day Program.ResponsibilitiesParticipates in the planning of appropriate activities for clients of the program.Implements and ensures smooth operation of the activities in a safe, hygienic and supportive setting.Provides timely and appropriate crisis intervention or behaviour management and ensures that the clients’ physical, social and emotional needs are appropriately met.Provides timely and appropriate support, information and referral, placement or outreach to clients/volunteers to ensure that their social, recreational and developmental needs are met.Works closely with clients and caregivers to ensure appropriate design of care plans/program plans and ongoing monitoring of those plans.Ensures appropriate assessment, placement, matching and support for volunteers.Provides effective guidance, training and support to volunteers in the program.Maintains up‑to‑date and accurate files,



records and program statistics.Maintains accurate records of fees and expenditures.Complies with risk management policy for health and safety and infection control.Keeps up‑to‑date with developments and best practices in the field.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsDiploma in Social Work or Social Services, health sciences, activation, or equivalent.Experience in geriatric rehabilitation is essential.Excellent customer service skills.Ability to work independently and contribute effectively as a team player.Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite.Recent certification in CPR.Recent satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Screen result.Fluency in English and ability to converse in Chinese.Must be able to work across different Yee Hong sites as needed.Physical DemandsSome lifting and transferring required.Salary Range$22.52 - $26.49 per hour.EEO StatementYee Hong is an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive, barrier‑free recruitment and selection process.
