Position Summary

Under the direction of a library staff member, the student assists with the delivery of Library services during peak periods. Duties include circulating materials of various formats, answering basic inquiries from users, preparing audio/video equipment for circulation, and contributing to the processing and organizing of library materials. Must be available on weekends. May be required to open and/or close the library and perform emergency evacuation procedures. Performs other supplementary tasks as assigned.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

- Excellent knowledge of music and music materials, preferably with some formal training.
- Knowledge of music score and recording formats and familiarity with audio and video equipment.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to clearly transmit and receive information.
- Must be user-focused and service-oriented.
- Demonstrated ability to cope with physical requirements: handling, carrying and lifting of library materials.
- Previous library or similar experience preferred.
- English: spoken, read and written.
- French: spoken and read.

Minimum Education and Experience

- High School Diploma
- Minimal or No Related Experience

Hourly Salary:

(AMUSE A) $16.70
