OICR is hiring a Biospecimen Research Technician I for a one-year contract within the Diagnostic Development department. This role will involve critical tasks like sample processing, molecular extraction, and adherence to quality management procedures. As a member of the team, your organizational and communication skills will play a vital role in facilitating research projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in accessioning samples for research studies • Conduct basic histology on human tissue samples • Perform DNA/RNA extraction and quality assessment • Ensure compliance with GCLP and laboratory standards • Document all findings in compliance with requirements
Requirements: • Completion of a relevant undergraduate degree is required • Experience with microtomy, staining, and tissue handling • Ability to follow established SOPs for laboratory processes • Exceptional detail orientation in record-keeping • Solid time management and client service skills
