AccountantFull-Time | Entertainment & Hospitality IndustryA Toronto-based entertainment venue is seeking a highly experienced Accountant to join our team full-time and or part time. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting and bookkeeping experience who can work independently in a fast-paced nightlife and hospitality environment.We are looking for a candidate with proven bookkeeping and accounting experience, preferably within the entertainment, hospitality, restaurant, bar, or nightclub industry. This is not a junior or entry-level position.Core ResponsibilitiesFull-cycle accounting and bookkeepingPayroll processing and payroll remittancesAccounts receivable, invoicing, and collectionsAccounts payable processing and allocation to projects/eventsCredit card reconciliations and expense allocationsReconciliation of bank accounts, merchant terminals, and event settlementsEvent reconciliation, including sales reporting and balancing revenuesLiquor inventory reconciliation and inventory account managementPreparation and analysis of Profit & Loss (P&L;) statements / income statementsMonth-end and year-end reporting functionsMaintain accurate financial records within QuickBooksPreparation of GST/HST/EHT returns and government remittancesPreparation of balance sheets, financial summaries, and forecasting reportsAssist with budgeting, financial planning, and discrepancy reportingMaintain organized accounting records,



receipts, and supporting documentationSupport audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policiesGeneral administrative and accounting support duties as requiredRequired Skills & QualificationsMinimum 5 years of accounting/bookkeeping experienceStrong knowledge of Canadian GST/HST regulations and payroll remittancesAdvanced experience using QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop)Strong understanding of Profit & Loss (P&L;) statements and financial reportingExperience working with liquor inventory and hospitality-related reconciliationsExperience reconciling high-volume entertainment or hospitality events is considered a strong assetStrong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and reportingExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to multitask and work independently in a rapid-paced environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAdditional InformationThis is a fully in-person position and work from home is not available. Candidates must be comfortable working on-site in a fast-paced entertainment and hospitality environment.Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
