This role supports accurate and timely financial reporting, ensures compliance with internal controls, company procedures and regulatory requirements, and contributes to ongoing process improvements. The Senior Corporate Accountant works closely with the Assistant Controller to deliver high‑quality financial information to management and ownership.Responsibilities:Corporate AccountingPreparing financial reports and analysis for corporate entities, including month‑end and quarter‑end reporting, year‑end working papers, and forecast updatesPreparing account analysis, journal entries and financial statementsPreparing and reviewing timely and accurate monthly billings to projects from corporate entitiesReviewing accounts payable for corporate entitiesAssisting in preparation of monthly corporate credit card reconciliationSupporting treasury and cash management activities, including preparation and release of wires, bank transactions, and monitoring of corporate cash balancesProviding support and backup for payroll processing, reconciliations,



and related reporting as requiredProviding guidance and review support to junior accounting staff as neededReviewing rent rolls, P&L; trending reports and property management month end files prepared by junior accounting staff as requiredPreparing complex accounting reports and dashboards with Excel and proposing changes according to new regulatory guidelinesAd hoc financial planning and reporting as required by individual partners, Assistant Controller, VP, CFO, or OwnershipTaxation & CompliancePreparing corporate T2s and ensuring the integrity of the reporting process for taxation authoritiesReviewing partnership T5013 filings for consistency with internal recordsPreparing, reviewing, and filing government information returns, including GSTSupporting external audit, review, or tax inquiries as requiredProcesses, Controls & DocumentationDocumenting and updating all accounting procedures and internal controls, including procedure changes, process improvements and other projects as identifiedIdentifying and implementing process and efficiency improvements within corporate accounting and reportingSupporting special projects and process initiatives as requiredQualifications:5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a Senior Accountant–level roleExperience in real estate is preferredCPA designation or equivalent is preferredExperience with Sage 300 Construction is an assetStrong financial reporting and analytical skillsAdvanced Excel skills, including complex reporting and analysisStrong verbal and written communication skillsProficient with accounting systems, databases, spreadsheets, and word processing softwareHighly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlinesSelf‑motivated, accountable, and committed to achieving team resultsDemonstrated ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integritySalary & Benefits:Salary range - $85,000 - $105,000 based on experience + discretionary bonusBenefits upon completion of probationary period3 weeks vacationHybrid work offering (3 days per week at our downtown office, 2 days a week from home after initial training period)#J-18808-Ljbffr
