Our Client Our client is a real estate investment and property management company based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They manage a diverse portfolio of properties and work closely with property managers, asset managers, and investment partners to optimize operating efficiencies and support strategic business growth. Compensation Compensation: $60,000-$80,000 CAD A day in the life of an Accountant Prepare journal entries, accrual entries, bank reconciliations, balance sheet items reconciliations, and overall general ledger maintenance for a portfolio of 20-40 entities Review and consolidate financial results prepared by subsidiaries Prepare, review, and ensure the monthly, quarterly and annual operational and reporting deliverables comply; including balancesheet, income statement, statement of cash flow, and notes to financial statements Support the annual audit/review process, including effective communication with the audit teams, and coordination of requirements within the internal and external accounting and property management teams Support and review year-end recovery chargebacks (CAM Recoveries) and annual budgets prepared by property management teams Participate in monthly calls with the property managers to review financial results Prepare and/or review Canadian tax returns and tax forms, such as T2, T5, and other relevant forms Assist with preparing year-end tax working papers Ensure Canadian tax payments are arranged timely (corporate tax,
