Role OverviewBrunel is partnered with a leading engineering and consulting organization supporting complex industrial projects across Canada and internationally. We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering design, construction, and maintenance solutions for large-scale mechanical systems. This role is well suited for a senior mechanical engineering professional who enjoys hands-on technical work, field exposure, and client interaction, and who can lead projects from concept through execution in heavy industrial environments.ResponsibilitiesLead and execute office and field-based mechanical engineering projects, including major design and construction initiativesPrepare detailed mechanical designs, calculations, specifications, and technical documentationDevelop proposals, scopes of work, cost estimates, and contract documentation for mechanical and multi-discipline projectsPerform or oversee construction inspections, testing, and commissioning activitiesPrepare engineering reports documenting project progress, findings, and completionField & Technical SupportConduct or oversee field surveys and site visits throughout the project lifecyclePerform analysis of field data and translate findings into engineering solutionsReview mechanical components, systems,



and materials for compliance with design and operational requirementsDeliver technical presentations and project updates to clients and internal stakeholdersCollaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams across mechanical, civil, electrical, and structural functionsSupport junior engineers and contribute to overall project quality and delivery excellenceQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical EngineeringActive Skilled Engineer (P.Eng) registration in Québec (OIQ) or ability to obtain within one year10+ years of progressive experience in mechanical and/or industrial engineering designProven experience leading complex engineering projects from design through executionStrong knowledge of CAD development and preparation of drawing packages across design stagesFamiliarity with project management methodologies and engineering best practicesStrong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skillsHighly organized with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilityBonus ExperienceExperience conducting site visits, field measurements, and interpreting technical calculationsBackground supporting heavy industrial environments such as Mining, Pulp & Paper, Bulk Materials, or similar facilitiesExperience with tools such as Revit, Belt Analyst, and Dust Collection Modeling softwareAbility to operate effectively in fast-paced, multi-project environments#J-18808-Ljbffr
