Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrates core competency in grain processing/milling, to optimize processing equipment operations and meet production goals.
- Organizes shift activities and physically performs the day-to-day processing/milling, sanitation, and reporting activities.
- Ensures secure, effective, and efficient operation of the processing/milling equipment through following SOPS, Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP program and other operating initiatives.
- Works with production staff to ensure customer satisfaction by meeting defined specifications and quality standards through the processing/milling of pure consumer ready products.
- Ensures positive working relationships while addressing food safety, plant operation, staff conduct and environmental stewardship.
- Submits recommendations for facility enhancements, production reports and other administrative documents as required.
Education Requirements
High School Diploma is preferred
Experience Requirements
- 5 years of experience in processing/milling/packaging. Grain milling is preferred
- Knowledge of food processing, packaging and food safety would be an asset
- Minimum 2 years of lift Truck experience/Certification
Other Requirements
- Excellent organizational skills
- Aptitude with numbers
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift 22kg (50lbs)
- Valid Driver's License and access to personal vehicle are mandatory
- Employment is subject to successfully completing pre-employment checks which may include criminal record check, education verification and reference review.
This is a shift position which may include evenings and weekends.
