Nortrans Freight Management is a trusted transportation and logistics company serving Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest, known for its strong culture, reliability, and commitment to innovation and driver wellbeing.The RoleReporting to senior leadership in both organizations, the Human Resources Manager will lead and execute HR strategy, programs, and operations across both companies. This role balances strategic planning with day‑to‑day HR responsibilities and requires adaptability to support two distinct business environments, manufacturing (Provincially regulated)
and transportation (Federally regulated).Key ResponsibilitiesHR StrategyDevelop and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals for both organizationsAdvise senior leadership on workforce planning, organizational development, and employee relationsLead talent management, succession planning, and performance development initiativesHR Programs & ProjectsUpdate HR policies, handbooks, and proceduresDesign and implement performance review systemsDevelop total rewards and compensation strategiesEvaluate and implement HR systems and automation opportunitiesEmployee Relations & AdministrationOversee recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processesManage promotions, compensation changes, and disciplinary actionsPrepare employment agreements and HR documentationAdminister benefits and employee recordsProvide coaching and guidance to managers and employeesHealth & SafetyEnsure compliance with WorkSafeBC and applicable provincial regulations (Westwood)Lead and support health and safety programs and committees (Westwood)Manage and administer WorkSafeBC claims and return-to-work programs (Westwood)Support driver safety and performance initiatives (Nortrans)Culture & EngagementFoster a positive, inclusive,
