York Industries 1990 Ltd is hiring a Journeyman Machinist with strong expertise in CNC and conventional machining in North Surrey, BC. Focus on delivering high-quality, precision components while following ISO 9001:2012 standards.
This full-time, on-site position is essential for setting up and operating machines to fabricate medium to large parts. In your role, you will interpret technical drawings, select tools, and carry out machining tasks while ensuring stringent adherence to quality control procedures. Team collaboration will be crucial to optimize processes and troubleshoot problems efficiently, while you maintain a clean and safe work setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate CNC and conventional machines for precision production
• Read technical drawings and specifications for accurate execution




• Conduct machining operations with a focus on tight tolerances
• Inspect and document the quality of manufactured components
• Collaborate with production personnel on machining processes
Requirements:
• Journeyman Machinist certification or similar experience required
• Strong CNC and conventional machining skills essential
• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical instructions
• Experienced in Mastercam and ISO-based quality systems
• Committed to safety and operational efficiency in a machining environment
