Responsibilities

- Assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties
- Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers
- Maintain daycare equipment
- Provide storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
- Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
- Guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits




- Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
- Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
- Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
- Have knowledge of licensing regulations

Requirements

- English language proficiency
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience is an asset
- Child care centre work setting
- On site work required; no work from home

Credentials

- Child development assistant (ECE level 1)
