JOB TITLE: Family Caregiver – Senior JOB LOCATION: 61 Vivot Blvd, Kleinburg, ON, L4H4N9, Canada VACANCY: 1 JOB TYPE: Regular TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent; Full-time ANTICIPATED START DATE: As soon as Possible SALARY: $21.00 per Hour HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT: 30 to 35 Hours/Week WORK SETTING: Employer’s home

Job Duties and Responsibilities

- Provide supervision and care for the senior in the employer’s residence and assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
- Safely transfer the patient to and from the bed or other surfaces using proper lifting techniques.
- Administer medications according to the prescribed schedule and keep accurate records of medication administration.
- Prepare and assist with nutritious meals that adhere to any dietary restrictions and assist the patient with eating if necessary.
- Keep track of health status, report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professional or the family member.




- Provide companionship and emotional support to the patient, engaging in conversations and activities to promote mental well‑being.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as changing bed sheets to maintain a safe and comfortable setting for the senior and assist with transportation needs, including accompanying to medical appointments if needed.
- Keep records of daily activities and maintain health information for the patient, as required.

Professional Skills and Requirements

- Secondary school graduation required or diploma/certificate in related field.
- Experience is an asset.
- Fluent in English and excellent verbal communication skills, and a high level of confidentiality, integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
- Overtime may be required sometimes, and the position could be physically demanding.
- Good time management skills, client focus, flexibility, organization, reliability, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of other languages such as Punjabi would be an asset.
