You’ll partner with leaders and project teams across the organization to develop communications that help employees understand not only what is changing, but why it matters and how it impacts them. Senior Communications Advisor – IT Major Programs
From developing communications strategies and plans to writing executive messaging, intranet content and company-wide communications, you'll work closely with program teams, business leaders, and key stakeholders across the organization to create impactful communication strategies that build employee awareness, readiness and adoption. You'll be a trusted advisor, helping leaders navigate change while ensuring communications are timely, clear and aligned with organizational objectives. Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Communications & Strategy, you add value and are energized by key areas of oversight such as:
Developing and executing communications strategies and plans for company-wide/corporate and internal communications to support IT major programs Providing strategic advisory on corporate communications needs to senior leaders Creating engaging content for a variety of communications materials including communications strategies and plans, internal memos, intranet copy, presentations, reports, speeches, and correspondence Working independently and produces complicated, high-profile communications deliverables that require little revision Supporting organizational change management efforts that drive employee understanding, engagement and adoption Building strong relationships with leaders and stakeholders across the organization Utilizing your knowledge and application of communications concepts, strategies and technical skills to plan, execute and evaluate communications plans for internal and external audiences What you bring to the team
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Affairs, Journalism, or a related discipline Certification or accreditation in Change Management or Change Communications is considered an asset 4-6 years of experience in Corporate Communications, Public Affairs, Strategic Internal Communications in a fast-paced environment 4-6 years of experience in research, writing and distribution of communications via internal channels (e.g. email, e-newsletter, intranet) 1-3 years of experience in content planning and project planning 1-3 years of experience in issues management, change management and change communications 1-3 years of experience in Microsoft Office Suite, MS365 and design tools (Photoshop and InDesign)
1-3 years of experience in supporting intranet content management systems Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and works collaboratively in a team environment Ability to translate technical material and terminology into plain language for employee audiences Ability to manage projects and assignments on deadline Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information What we offer
This is a regular full-time position with a target salary range of$83,500 - $104,300per annum.The starting salary isdeterminedbased on the successful candidate’s knowledge,experienceand internal equity.
