Job Summary As a Greenhouse Associate, you will play a vital role in the cultivation and care of cannabis plants in a controlled greenhouse environment. Reporting to the Grower or Master Grower, you will be responsible for executing daily horticultural tasks, maintaining plant health, and ensuring compliance with Health Canada regulations and internal SOPs.
Key Responsibilities
Plant Care & Cultivation
- Water, ventilate, and drain plants.
- Harvesting/Processing of flowering plants.
- Prune, defoliate, and clean mother and flowering plants.
- Assist with cloning, grading and transplanting of young plants.
- Report any signs of pests, disease, or general ill health seen in crops to leads/growers.
- Moving plants to next phase of production, remove unsuitable plants and destroy as per policies and procedures.
- Bio applications.
Compliance & Recordkeeping
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Health Canada regulations.
- Adhere to all SOPs and Policies.
- Participate in cannabis waste destruction and sanitation protocols.
Team Collaboration
- General greenhouse and production area cleaning between crop rotations.
- Maintaining clean work areas and equipment.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime or weekends.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with greenhouse control systems (e.g., Priva) would be an asset, however if the candidate shows commitment and potential, we are willing to train.
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, data entry platforms) would be an asset.
- Ability to work in warm, humid environments and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
COMPENSATION
This position offers compensation of $17.60 CAD per hour.
