We are actively seeking an
Accounting Technician & Client Coordinator
to work
full-time, on-site
at our Client's SE Calgary
head office. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys more than just numbers. In this role, you will take ownership of the company's day-to-day accounting functions while also playing an important administrative role in bringing new clients into the business. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and confident navigating technology and multiple software platforms. What's In It For You

The ideal candidate will bring a strong accounting foundation along with excellent organizational and communication skills. You will ideally have:
3–5 years of progressive
full-cycle accounting experience . A post-secondary diploma or degree in
Accounting, Finance, Business Administration , or a related field. Strong working knowledge of
QuickBooks and Payworks . Experience with payroll administration, GST, WCB,
reconciliations, AR/AP, and financial reporting. Robust understanding of
Alberta payroll requirements
and Canadian accounting principles for small-to-medium-sized businesses. Excellent attention to detail, particularly when reviewing billable time, invoices, and financial data. Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new software platforms. Experience in an
IT Managed Service Provider (MSP), professional services, consulting, or other fast-paced environment
would be a strong asset. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. A high level of discretion when handling confidential financial, payroll, and employee information. A professional, approachable communication style and the confidence to interact with clients. taking ownership, solving problems, working with technology, and keeping things organized in a busy environment. What You'll Be Doing
Manage day-to-day
accounts payable and accounts receivable , including vendor payments, collections, and account reconciliations. Manage client invoicing and billing, including complex
time-and-material billing . Review and audit technician time entries to ensure billable hours and expenses are accurate before invoices are issued. Prepare and file
GST returns,
WCB remittances , and other required statutory filings. Process
bi-weekly payroll through Payworks , including benefits administration and holiday pay. Complete year-end reconciliations and work closely with external accountants during the year-end review process. Prepare and distribute
T4s
and other year-end documentation. Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the company's
QuickBooks
database, including customer, vendor, and chart of accounts information. Prepare monthly
P&L; statements, balance sheets, AR aging reports , and other financial reporting for leadership. Identify discrepancies and ensure financial records remain accurate, current, and well organized. Client Onboarding & Contract Administration – 25%
Set up new clients within the company's billing and
PSA (Professional Services Automation)
systems. Coordinate the administrative onboarding process for new Managed Services clients. Prepare and distribute client agreements, including
Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
and partnership agreements, through DocuSign. Act as the administrative point of contact for new clients during the onboarding process. Track outstanding documentation and ensure client files are complete, accurate, and properly maintained. Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from signed agreement to active client. Records Management & General Administration – 10%
Maintain organized digital filing systems for financial and client documentation. Ensure records are accurate, accessible, and appropriately maintained. Develop, update, and maintain
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
for accounting and client onboarding processes. Look for opportunities to improve administrative and accounting processes and efficiencies.
