Senior Analyst, Finance and Accounting – OverviewThe Senior Analyst, Finance and Accounting manages a complex, higher-volume portfolio and is responsible for all aspects of general ledger accounting, reporting, cash management, and budgeting/forecasting for the portfolio. The role serves as the main point of contact, providing operational support to Property Administrators and General Managers at the site level, as well as to accounting staff at third‑party service providers. The analyst also responds to ad hoc analysis requests and records corporate and management reporting entries.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesGeneral Ledger Accounting – Prepare month‑end close journal entries, bank reconciliations, commodity tax remittances, and timely recording of monthly results from service providers.Financial Reporting – Prepare solvency analysis, step memos, and corporate/management reporting entries (statistical entries, contra entries, intercompany eliminations). Ensure intercompany eliminations and asset/liability integrities.Tenant Reconciliations – Prepare or review real estate tax, operating expense and other CAM (escalation billings) for tenants.Month‑end Review and Reporting – Conduct month‑end key indicator and variance analysis against budgets, equity, investment and intercompany account reconciliations, cash management, and general and administrative expense analysis.Quarterly and Year‑end Packages – Prepare quarterly financial packages,



year‑end audit packages and liaise with auditors.Cash Flow Analysis – Analyze cash flows and manage contributions/distributions to/from the property.Transaction Support – Prepare statement of adjustments for dispositions and opening balance sheet analysis for acquisitions.Budgeting and Forecasting – Prepare, review and analyze annual operating plans and quarterly reforecasts; assist with portfolio strategy execution.Special Projects and Process Innovation – Participate in continuous‑improvement projects, process automation, and people and culture initiatives.QualificationsUniversity degree, preferably in Commerce, Business or Accounting.Minimum 3–5 years of real estate accounting experience.Pursuing a Skilled Accounting Designation (CPA) – preferred.Experience with GSS, HFM and JDE.Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel; working knowledgeof PowerPoint.Key SkillsAccounting and Finance – End‑to‑end ownership of accounting, cash management, budgeting and forecasting.Strong understanding of corporate and management reporting.Analytical skills – interpreting financial results, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.Responsive to ad‑hoc analysis requests and providing meaningful recommendations.Time‑management and organization – works independently with minimal supervision.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – acts as main point of contact for Property Administrators, General Managers and third‑party service providers.Professional judgment on complex issues beyond routine processes.CompensationSalary range: $72,000.00 - $108,000.00 per year.
