Sanofi's manufacturing network is undergoing a fundamental digital transformation, moving from paper-based systems to fully integrated, GxP-compliant MES environments across 30+ global sites. The MES Digital Configuration Lead is the technical backbone of this transformation. Based at Sanofi Pasteur's major Toronto site, one of Sanofi's most strategic manufacturing hubs in the Americas, you will drive the design, build, and lifecycle of Sanofi's global MES solutions (Siemens Opcenter Execution Pharma / Körber PAS-X), ensuring core model consistency, GxP compliance, and strong business alignment across the manufacturing network. Working closely with Product Owners, digital teams, and industrial sites worldwide, this role covers architecture, configuration, integration, and continuous improvement of MES deployments at global scale. This is not a support role, it is a senior strategic leadership position with direct impact on patient safety, regulatory standing, and Sanofi's ability to scale manufacturing digitalization globally. Main Responsibilities Business Processes in Scope Master Data Management Master Batch Record (edition, approval, Review by Exception) Production Execution Weighing & Dispensing Equipment & Material Flow Management Traceability/Genealogy Labelling Reporting ERP, LIMS, SCADA, Deviation Management, Serialization and OEE integrations Business Alignment & Core Model Translate business needs into standardized, compliant MES designs scalable across multi-GBU and multi-site configurations. Drive core model adoption and ensure consistent deployments across industrial sites globally. Provide functional and technical leadership throughout the full solution lifecycle. Technical Leadership & Problem Solving Demonstrate deep technical understanding of MES architecture, configuration, and integrations. Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across platforms, interfaces, and automation layers. Apply scripting skills (SQL, VB.NET/C#, Python, or platform-specific scripting) for configuration, automation, and troubleshooting. Bridge functional design and technical implementation; act as escalation pointfor critical issues. Delivery & Quality Design and build core solutions aligned with market standards and industrial best practices. Conduct end-to-end process analysis including integrations (ERP, LIMS, SCADA, DCS, labelling, mobile). Evaluate impact analysis, manage risks, and ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery. Ensure compliance with GxP, Data Integrity, 21 CFR Part 11, and Sanofi quality standards. People & Knowledge Provide expert guidance and functional leadership to MES configuration teams across sites.
