Expected Salary Range: $65941 - $82426 AnnuallyThe salary range shown above reflects the expected compensation for this position. The final salary offered will be determined based on a holistic assessment of the candidate’s experience, education, training, and alignment with the role’s requirements. For positions covered by a collective agreement, placement within the range will follow the applicable step or classification.The Operations Analyst is responsible for the effective business operations associated with the Capital Projects - East department. Responsibilities include data gathering, data analysis, conducting research and preparing reports, supporting department projects and programs, and providing recommendations based on findings to support departmental performance objectives. The role also supports leaders in day‑to‑day operations of work programs through the administration of invoicing, purchase requisitions/orders, data administration, and general project management duties.This posting is for an existing vacancy.Key ResponsibilitiesInteracts with stakeholders to identify, capture and analyze business requirementsSupports departmental activities to draw insights from relevant business unit data sets and make recommendations for actionConducts analysis involving large data sets and multiple variables and presents effectively through the preparation of technical or business reports and studies, process maps, graphs, charts or tablesAssists in the coordination,



delivery and execution of projectsMaintains and further develops databases or decision support tools and systemsSuggests and implements process and procedure enhancements to support the overall efficiency of the departmentAssists in defining project scope, drafting business cases, conducting feasibility studies and completing cost benefit analysisProvides support to management and technology systems including enterprise systems (i.E., SAP), data management and reportingEvaluates and makes recommendations on the current and future state and is a strong team player with demonstrated success in driving data‑driven operationsActs as departmental subject matter expert for departmental, divisional and/or corporate initiativesStays current with industry developments and practices, specifically those in investment planning and information technology areasWorks in accordance with safety performance standards and promotes a safety cultureRequirementsUniversity degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred)1 or more years of experience in business analytics or data management (co‑op included)Knowledge of and experience in utility operations is an assetFully proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including advanced working knowledge in MS Excel, MS Project,



MS Access and MS WordProficient in data management practices and capable of extracting, querying, and analyzing large data sets; intermediate knowledge of programming languages (e.G., R, Python, C/C++, VBA) to support data analytics is an assetKnowledge of Tableau, Alteryx and/or SAP is an assetKnowledge of, and experience with, machine learning and neural network algorithms in practical applications is an assetAwareness of project management processes, principles and methodologiesBusiness and strategic thinking acumenUnderstanding of statutory and regulatory obligations related to the electric utility industryExcellent analytical, technical, and business solution development skills, including the proven ability to function effectively in a dynamic environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong problem solving and decision‑making skillsThis position is based in a hybrid environment allowing for work from home two days per week, based on business needs. Employees will be required to come onsite Tuesday to Thursday.
