Job TitleCoordinatorLocationBradford, ON - Specialized Assisted Living - BradfordCompensation$64,933 - $76,560 Annually ProratedWork TypeOnsiteJob SummaryThe Coordinator provides team leadership in the overall service delivery and day‑to‑day operations of the Service. In conjunction with the Program Manager, this position provides assistance and support in facilitating optimal client care and facilitates the general operation.ResponsibilitiesOversee all aspects of site management, including health and safety requirements, general maintenance, and security.Promote the personal empowerment of each client by assisting in creating programs that build rapport, coaching, mentoring, and support to help clients meet daily living requirements; advocate on theirbehalf in navigating social services and health care systems; mediate issues orconflicts between clients or between clients and neighbors; follow up on issues to ensure resolution.Provide direction and support to staff involved in direct service delivery; schedule staff, assign duties, assist with selection, orientation, training and performance management; assist with recruiting and hiring; develop and implement operating procedures for the site and ensure compliance with established standards; monitor staffing issues.Monitor site operations and ensure compliance with property standards and fire codes; ensure program follows health and safety standards; coordinate acquisition,use and maintenance of furniture, supplies and equipment and contact appropriate sources for repairs; maintain accuraterecords and incident reports; manage petty cash.Participate in regular service planning processes, including preparing the service plan, operating plan, client satisfaction feedback process, quality improvement and other research activities; identify gaps in service and recommend solutions; participate in meetings,



planning and evaluation initiatives, committees, events and activities; compile program evaluation reports and statistical information.Organize and participate in client or group activities that promote resident well‑being and smooth operation of the service; provide other related assistance as required.Required to be on after‑hours on call, on a rotating schedule.QualificationsDegree or diploma in health care, social services or related field with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in the mental health sector.Excellent understanding of harm reduction and psychosocial rehabilitation principles, acquired through a post‑secondary degree or diploma and at least five years of experience providing community support services.Knowledge of issues faced by adults with special needs and marginalized client groups, including addictions, cognitive impairments, HIV/AIDS.Experience in program development, planning and evaluation.Understanding of therapeutic relationships and ability to negotiate client goals and priorities.Experience conducting meetings or facilitating groups; strong analytical, time‑management and organizational skills.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and counseling skills to provide team leadership and support and to engage clients in highly personal areas.Advocacy skills with knowledge of local community agencies and ability to establish effective relationships with service providers,
