Aramark is looking for a Food Services Supervisor to lead culinary and food service operations at The Gorsebrook Lounge, Saint Mary's University's premier student hub and eatery!In this role, you'll be the driving force behind superior food execution, exceptional customer service, and smooth kitchen-to-floor operations.This position oversees food service operations only (kitchen production, food preparation, menu delivery, and dining room service). Beverage and bar management are independently handled by the Saint Mary's University Students' Association (SMUSA).Job ResponsibilitiesSupervise the day-to-day operations for the food service and operations on the floorMeet daily with the Manager to discuss operational and staffing concernsSupervise and direct food production planning, waste management and record keepingProactively manage food and labour cost controlsAssist with recruitment, training, staff orientation, scheduling and filling shifts as neededAssist Manager with managing team performanceSupervise cash handling procedures, balance cash float, safe and verify depositsEnsure food safety standards and HACCP are always followedResolve customer complaints as they arise, escalating to the Manager as necessaryFollow the Operational Excellence fundamentals by maintaining food and labor initiativesMaintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers and employeesFollow all policies, rules and regulations relating to safety, health,



wage and hourQualifications3+ years' leadership experience experience required1+ years' food services experience required1+ years' working as a Server requiredExtensive knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards considered an assetStrong organizational and team building skills with the ability to coach and motivate team membersProficient in Microsoft Office ? Excel, Word, PowerPointFlexible schedule as some evening, weekend, and/or holiday work may be requiredThis role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.
