Support mental health as a Child and Youth Worker at Cochrane Public School. This full-time position involves collaboration with students, families, and community partners to enhance emotional and behavioral well-being.
The successful candidate will work full-time, 35 hours per week, focusing on the social and emotional needs of students. You will help implement mental health supports and promote positive social interactions. Key qualifications include a diploma in Child and Youth Work or Social Service Work, alongside relevant training in behavioral intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist students and families in mental health skills development • Maintain links with community partners for mental health resources • Implement evidence-based mental health programs • Screen and assess student needs for support services • Monitor student progress towards mental health goals
Requirements: • Diploma in Child and Youth Work or Social Service Work • Registration with Ontario College of Social Workers • Experience in education and behavioral intervention • Strong cooperative skills with educators and community • Criminal Background Check required for employment
