Company Background: Our roots derive from a long serving sports, entertainment and lifestyle insurance provider and we have grown to encompass a wide range of niche and specialty products including inland marine, aviation, marine, specialty casualty, accident and hard-to-place property.PositionSpecial Risk Insurance Managers is looking to add to our growing team with a full-time permanent receptionist.This position is based in-office 5 days per week as part of a small core group of full-time in-office staff.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesReception – answering & transferring calls (multiple lines)Accepting deliveries & preparing packages for pick‑up as requiredMaintain accurate workstation equipment logs based on inventoryWorkstation equipment intake, distribution & testing at instruction of IT teamProcess/typing a variety of insurance related documentsProcess policy changes, certificates & endorsements as requiredAssist underwriting & senior teammates with servicing files & attaching pertinent information to filesDaily mail delivery to post officeCommunicate internally & externally via telephone, email or other methodsClerical duties, such as electronic filing & maintenance of recordsMinimum Job Qualifications & Key Personal AttributesExperience running a multi-line switchboardStrong organizational & time management skills to complete assignments effectively and within structured timelinesStrong writing/language & communication skillsKeen eye for detailInterest in being involved with community outreach and company cultureUnderstanding of Microsoft Office Suite,
Microsoft Office 365 & Google Drive is an assetHigh school diploma or equivalentCustomer service experience – positive & professional communication skillsReliable transportation – we are conveniently located near Carvolth Exchange in Langley if you rely on transitPrior insurance industry knowledge is an asset, but not requiredBenefits & CompensationPay Range: $40,000 - $45,000 annually. Actual salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and work location.
