Reporting to the Recreation Manager, the Part Time Recreation Aide will assist in creating meaningful programs tailored for residents. This role requires previous experience working with seniors and effective communication skills, as you will interact with residents, families, and staff alike. Participate in planning and executing activities that contribute to our mission of enriching lives at Extendicare.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning and implementing resident programs
• Maintain relevant departmental records and evaluations
• Communicate effectively with residents and families




• Facilitate and transport residents to scheduled outings
• Prepare and evaluate daily activity schedules
Requirements:
• Diploma in Recreation, Gerontology, or related field
• Experience with seniors in care settings
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Valid driver's license for resident transport
• Required background check and certifications
