About the Role

Our client is looking for a creative and intuitive Junior UX/UI Designer to join their product development team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute your design talents from anywhere within South Africa. You will collaborate with product managers and developers to design user-centered interfaces for web and mobile applications, focusing on usability, aesthetics, and user experience. This role is ideal for a recent graduate passionate about digital design, eager to build a portfolio and gain experience in a collaborative, remote-first setting that fosters innovation and user-centric design principles.

Key Responsibilities

- Design user interfaces for web and mobile applications based on user research and best practices.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on designs.
- Collaborate with product managers and developers throughout the design and development process.




- Ensure design consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all products.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest UX/UI design trends and technologies.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A portfolio showcasing UI/UX design work (web and/or mobile applications).
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Strong visual design skills with an eye for detail and aesthetics.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for a remote work workplace.
