Multimatic Inmet is currently looking for aMaterials Analystwith skills in critical thinking, organization, and management with an understanding of complex supply chains and inventory control systems.This role reports to Inmet's Materials Manager.ResponsibilitiesCoordinates and schedules on time production following established proceduresAnalyze and forecast material requirements based on production schedules and Inmet’s business needsMin/max inventory level review and provide suggestions for adjustment to align with company inventory level goalsExcess and obsolete inventory analysis and suggested inventory usage strategy to minimize scrap inventoryConduct regular audits of material inventories to report on stock levels and discrepanciesCoordinate with procurement to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materialsDevelop and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate prices and termsMonitor and report on key performance indicators related to material managementCollaborate with various departments, including production and finance, to align material needs with organizational goalsUtilize software systems to track and manage material data effectivelyIdentify and implement MRP process improvementsPrepare detailed reports and analysis for senior management to aid in decision-makingEnsure compliance with industry regulations and company policies related to material procurement and usageParticipating in team problem solving activities and process improvement activitiesPrepare Physical inventory readiness (basement storage clean up against reserve item list)Works in a safe manner and always observe plant safety rules and regulationsWorks in compliance with IATF16949 and ISO14001 standardsWill work in compliance with all legislative requirements of the OHSAQualificationsAt least 3 years of experience in Automotive Manufacturing Supply Chain ManagementAny and all licenses and training relating to the following: Lean Manufacturing, APICS, CPIM, & USMCAExperience with inventory management software and ERP systems: SAP experience is important in this roleAbility to interpret and analyze complex data sets related to materials properties and performance.Robust written and verbal communication skills to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines and deliverables.Proficiency with Microsoft’s suite of office software: Proven use of Microsoft ExcelAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesEnglish communication skills required (verbal and written)Must be able to work independently and prioritize tasksSalary range for this role is $65K-$75KThis job posting is for an existing vacancy.
