ResponsibilitiesSteamfitters‑Pipefitters work both indoors and outdoors, laying out, assembling, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing piping systems that carry steam, water, air, gases, chemicals, solids, and fuel in industrial and manufacturing plants and in water purification and water treatment systems.Work EnvironmentWork environments for construction careers can be located outdoors or indoors or both. Work hours may vary as well.
