Carmacks, in partnership with Peters Bros, is looking to hire a Project Coordinator for Highway South & Recycling HIP.What is the role?Reporting to the Construction Manager, Highways Division, the role contributes to the goals and profits of the company by supporting the Project Management team. The Coordinator assists in building roads primarily with paving works and recycling, working closely with the field Superintendent and Project Manager to provide assistance as required. This position is based in Penticton: 50% in the office and 50% at the site, which often requires on‑site presence during the production season.Duties And Responsibilities AreTrack and reconcile materials supplied and deliveredManage and track truck haul tickets and summarize using spreadsheetsMaintain daily and weekly inventory balances for pits, stockpiles, transfers, and job consumptionReconcile scale tickets, haul sheets, and production logs; investigate discrepancies proactivelyCoordinate with foremen, pit managers, and trucking to align physical counts with system balancesPrepare month‑end inventory roll‑forwards and variance explanations for FinanceTrack material quality documentation (QC results, gradations) aligned to usage and pay itemsAssist Accounts Payable with invoicingEnsure timely accurate communication of all information and completion of all required documentationHelp the Project Manager prepare progress reports and invoices for work completedAssist in the estimating process by evaluating bid specifications and drawings to ensure that everything that is required for a successful bid is addressedObtain bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identify qualified subcontractors; negotiate price; follow up as required to ensure bids are receivedReview projects, analyzing and documenting estimated vs. actual costs, and the whole job – what was done, when, how, why; use this data forestimating work/projectsReview contracts concerning insurance and bonding; order bondingEnsure timely and accurate communication of all information/documentationIdentify and implement efficiencies, process improvements and ways to save moneyUsing the company ERP: SAPWhat do we value?Entry level requires a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry experienceStrong understanding of construction methods, contracts, and project coordination processesStrong knowledge of civil construction practices, including grading, paving, and utilitiesExcellent computer skills including Microsoft Word and ExcelMinimum Class 5 Driver’s license with a clean abstractPreferredExperience working with contractors on municipal or highway projects; knowledge of ERP: SAPFamiliarity with local regulations and standards (e.G., provincial specifications)Experience with quantity tracking and cost control systemsWorking ConditionsCombination of office and field work environmentsTravel to project sites may be requiredLiving out allowance (LOA) is provided when working remoteAbility to work in a fast‑paced construction workplace with changing prioritiesSalary range is between $68,000-$80,000/yr, depending on qualifications and experiences.What’s in it for you?Competitive compensation packageCompany VehicleDental careExtended health careMatching RRSPEmployee stock purchase planEmployee assistance programFree on‑site parkingGrowth OpportunitiesCompany eventsAbility To Commute/relocatePenticton, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)#J-18808-Ljbffr
