Job PurposeTo achieve and exceed sales performance, objectives and operating profit for improved patient outcomes through a highly skilled, high performing team of people meeting the business demands and living the Sun Pharma Canada Inc. values.Duties and ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & ControlAnnually prepare budget proposals for Ophthalmic Sales Division promotional spend and support forecasting activities to ensure alignment on revenue objectives.Control expenditure against budget in line with P&L; and performance expectations.Justify budget proposals, project expenditure and ROI on regional plans, work with the Director and provide input into the annual Sales incentive plan to drive performance.Lead the cross‑functional process of developing regional business plans, aligning best practices across regions and ensuring alignment with the Marketing plan of action.Execute and follow up on regional plans, allocating costs and resources effectively, and shape market opportunities for future growth.Data and AnalyticsProvide monthly updates on sales, growth and other key performance metrics for the Ophthalmic team across Canada (national, provincial, regional and territorial).Work closely with Commercial Operations to assess sales data (Patient Benefit program, TSA, GPM, X‑Ponent, In‑Market or X‑Factory) and insights to drive initiatives aligned to marketing plans.Exercise due diligence and analytical assessment in activity planning based on an ROI‑driven mindset.Leadership of Sales TeamWork with Talent Manager and HR to hire robust, qualified Territory Managers.Define, develop and maintain a high‑performance team across all regions in Canada.Lead Territory Manager training and management of the selling model.Define and monitor sales performance across Canada, coach and mentor Territory Managers to ensure a highly effective team.Create conditions that enable people to deliver results and realize their potential.Evaluate team member skills, competencies and engagement to optimize performance and build a high‑performing team.Lead and involve individuals in setting, implementing and following up on personalized development and performance plans.Establish consistent operating norms for the team (communication, collaboration, national and regional meetings).CollaborationWork closely with Commercial Operations,
Marketing and Medical teams to align respective action plans.Ensure collaboration with MSL team to develop key stakeholder strategies.Feed into planning and development of communication and market‑access strategies to support brand promotion, including measurable outcomes.Support cross‑functional plans and progress, address key issues as they arise and ensure integration into overall strategy.Quality Assurance and Organizational ComplianceEnsure that Territory Managers understand and comply with product sample management standards (tracking, storage, inspection, distribution and disposal in accordance with SOP).Ensure compliance with, and train Territory Managers on, relevant SOPs and regulatory guidelines.General ResponsibilitiesParticipate in personal development and training sessions.Work in a safe manner and uphold Sun Pharma’s core values.Direct one‑to‑one communication with physicians and health‑care professionals to support approved product indications.Contact medical professionals and competitively explain product features, benefits and objections.Plan and organize speakers’ programs and other peer‑to‑peer activities in territory with Medical.Lead implementation of Lunch and Learn plans.Communicate competitive market intelligence to brand teams and management.Complete all administrative expectations timely and accurately.Comply with Canadian drug regulations (Health Canada, IMC guidelines) relative to field drug promotion.Coordinate activities in Central Western Ontario and Western Canada regions.Additional Responsibility (Customer Facing Roles)Report any adverse event received from customers for company products to the pharmacovigilance department / Drug Safety department on the same day or within one business day.Qualifications RequiredMinimum bachelor’s degree.Minimum 10 years of pharmaceutical sales and/or account management experience,
