Personal Support Worker (PSW) – Retirement Home

HealthOPM is urgently recruiting a Personal Support Worker (PSW) for a retirement home in Goderich.

This is a hands-on PSW position providing personal care to seniors. Housekeeping is also a required part of the role , so candidates must be comfortable assisting with cleaning, laundry and resident rooms as needed.

About the Role

Shift Availability

Candidates must be versatile and available for shifts as needed:

- Days: 6:30 AM–2:30 PM

- Evenings: 2:30 PM–10:30 PM

- Nights: 10:30 PM–6:30 AM

Responsibilities

- Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting

- Assist with mobility, transfers and activities of daily living





- Perform housekeeping and cleaning duties as required

- Assist with laundry and maintain clean resident rooms/common areas

- Observe and report resident changes or concerns

- Work collaboratively with nursing and retirement home staff

Requirements

- Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate

- Comfortable performing both PSW and housekeeping duties

- Current Vulnerable Sector Check

- Current TB screening/clearance

- Retirement home/LTC/senior-care experience preferred

- Reliable transportation to Goderich

- Flexible availability, including weekends and short notice

- Available to begin immediately
