PleaseClick Hereto complete your AI screening while submitting your application.JOB DESCRIPTIONLocation:Hybrid | Downtown, TorontoDuration:12 MonthsOur client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for aCloud Operations Engineer - Redis, Terraform, to contribute to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospective sessions to continuously improve team delivery and processes.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.Typical Day in role:Participate in daily stand-ups within an Agile framework (2-week sprints), providing updates on progress, blockers, and priorities while tracking work through Kanban boardsTake technical ownership of platform components, contributing to their design, development, and continuous improvementDevelop, implement, and refactor code (e.G., Go, Python) to support cloud platform services and automationBuild and operate highly available, scalable cloud infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance, and fault toleranceSupport and maintain Redis Enterprise as part of the platform, enabling efficient caching and low-latency data access for application teamsEnsure all platform components meet high standards for availability, security, integrity, and regulatory complianceCollaborate with engineers and architects to break down requirements, scope work, and estimate effortWork closely with application teams to onboard and integrate their workloads onto the platform, including advising on best practices for using services like RedisContribute to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospective sessions to continuously improve team delivery and processesProgress work aligned to the platform roadmap,



focusing on incremental value delivery even when releases do not occur at the end of every sprintSupport the ongoing development and maintenance of cloud platforms and services that enable safe and effective enterprise-wide use of public cloud offeringsMust Have Skills:5+ years of relevant hands-on technical working development experience OR in an Infrastructure Operations, DevOps or Cloud Engineering Operations role3+ years working with Cloud Environments (GCP, AWS, Azure, etc.)1+ year of hands-on experience with GCP or Azure3+ years of hands-on technical working experience with Terraform HCL for IAC1+ year of hands-on technical experience with RedisNice-To-Have Skills:Hands-on technical working experience with development/scripting languages (Python), container-based technologies, config management tools, container-based technologies, and CI/CD toolsFull understanding of software development lifecycle and release process (container-native workflow for job orchestration, Git/GitOps, CI/CD, environments, code repositories).Knowledge of software design patterns, and/or security considerationsFocus on scalable, enterprise-level software system design (both on code and infrastructure levels)High level Unix administration skillsSoft Skills Required:Good oral and written communication skillsPassion for driving teams towards high performance and a deep pride in quality craftsmanship.Able to communicate with internal stakeholders on a callEducation:Bachelor (equivalent or higher) degree in computer science or engineering/mathematics discipline.FP Inc. is committed to creating an inclusive setting where all team members and clients feel like they belong.
