Job Title: Packaging Operator

The Packaging Operator works on high-speed packaging lines to accurately and safely package pharmaceutical products. This role includes capping, cartoning, palletizing, inspecting finished packages, and completing required documentation while following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You collaborate with a team on the production floor, move packaged products as needed, and adapt to different lines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

- Operate and work on packaging lines, including capping, cartoning, and palletizing pharmaceutical products.
- Follow all GMP guidelines and SOPs at all times to ensure product safety and quality.
- Package pharmaceutical products on the line alongside other team members in a coordinated and efficient manner.
- Inspect packaged products for expiry dates, appearance, labeling accuracy, and overall completeness.
- Ensure all SOPs are followed correctly and consistently, applying training to daily activities.
- Move and handle packaged products, including lifting up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs on rare occasions.
- Adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment and move between different packaging lines as production needs change.
- Perform general labor and light assembly tasks related to packaging operations.

Essential Skills

- At least 1 year of experience working on a packaging line or in a similar fast-paced production environment.
- Hands-on experience in general labor and packaging operations.
- Background working with GMPs or in a similar regulated environment such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, or food production.




- Ability to perform quality control checks and adhere to established quality standards.
- Experience with inspection of products, including verifying expiry dates, appearance, labeling, and completeness.

This is a Contract position based out of Whitby, ON.

Pay and Advantages

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
