TSG STAFFING SERVICES is currently recruiting a MECHANICAL ENGINEER (MAINTENANCE) for a contract prospect in the Greater Medicine Hat Area in an Operating Plant environment.Job DescriptionProvide engineering support for maintenance execution and turnaround planning activities across facility operationsAssist inspection teams with evaluation of damage mechanisms, interpretation of inspection data, and development of repair recommendationsConduct Fit-for-Service (FFS) assessments for stationary equipment and review third‑party engineering evaluations for technical compliance and accuracyPartner with operations and maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and support the resolution of mechanical reliability concernsLead and participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA)



investigations in accordance with established reliability and failure analysis proceduresDevelop and optimize site‑wide maintenance strategies aimed at improving equipment reliability and standardizing maintenance practicesReview and provide technical oversight for structural assessments and engineering studies completed by external consultantsJob Requirements8+ years of relevant mechanical experience with oil & gas or petrochemical facilitiesBachelor of Science in Mechanical EngineeringProfessional Engineer registered with APEGA or previous registration with a Canadian Professional Engineering AssociationExperience with Alberta regulatory requirements for pressure equipment (ABSA)Technical experience and training with pressure vessel and piping codesOutstanding organizational, attention to detail and problem‑solving skillsCommunication and leadership abilitiesPay rates will be based on experience and current market standards.
