If you are a pharmacist with strong leadership skills and looking to join an independent pharmacy organization, we welcome your application!Job DescriptionFulfill the role of a Designated Pharmacy Manager as outlined by the OCP.Oversee and lead the daily operations of the pharmacy while adhering to the NAPRA Model Standards of Practice for Canadian Pharmacists and OCP Standards of Practice, including all laws, regulations, and by‑laws governing pharmacy.Offer personalized patient care and counselling, including medication reviews, drug interaction checks, minor ailment assessments and immunization services.Lead and motivate a dynamic team of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Assistants and other staff to deliver superior customer service. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.Satisfy all operational requirements including: maintaining store standards and conditions, ensuring the completeness of daily tasks and activities, optimizing pharmacy workflow, managing employee issues or concerns, adhering to health and safety requirements, maintaining records and reports, ensuring proper handling and storage of pharmaceutical products, and other duties.Interact with other health professionals on a daily basis, prioritizing the proper handling of patient care. Respond to professional information or consultation requests.Maintain inventory control and utilize appropriate systems to facilitate adequate and accurate procurement.Actively promote services to grow the patient base,
drive initiatives to improve pharmacy operations, customer satisfaction and business performance.Keep up with changes in legislation, scientific data and recognized qualified standards.Manage all exceptional and unpredictable situations that arise and propose solutions adapted to circumstances.Other duties as assigned.Education, Skills and Experience RequiredPharmD or equivalent.Part A practice license and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.Experience working in community/retail pharmacy.Injection certification.HR management skills to attract, retain, motivate, and develop employees.Highly developed sense of customer care.Superior communication and problem‑solving skills to build strong working relationships and maintain a positive work environment.Strong organizational skills to prioritize, plan, and manage effectively.Commitment to work well and lead in a team environment.Flexibility to work during pharmacy business hours: Monday to Friday 9am‑7pm, Saturdays 9am‑5pm.Additional Valued AssetsPrevious experience as a Designated Pharmacy Manager or experience in a supervisory role.Experience with Kroll dispensing software.BenefitsA competitive base rateHealthcare spending accountPaid sick and wellness daysStore discountCompany eventsTraining and development programsThe prospect to work for a forward‑thinking, independent pharmacy organizationExtended health careFlexible schedulePaid time offEEO StatementWe are committed to providing reasonable accommodation in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code.
